WHAT TO EXPECT
The VIP Cooking Class Experience is a virtual 2-hour event featuring a chef-inspired meal and optional wine pairing. Tickets are $100 and sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Price includes access to the Kitchen Studio via Zoom, interactive and instructional demonstration of each course, and the food you’ll need to cook along with the chef, generously donated by Aldi Grocery Stores.

Proceeds from the ticket sales will be donated to Community First, Underground Kitchen’s official 501c3 foundation.

ABOUT THE CHEF
Chef Smith, a.k.a. "Edot Da Chef," is an innovative private chef who consistently delivers an unparalleled dining experience. Hailing from Sumter, South Carolina, Chef Eric earned his degree in culinary arts from Le Cordon Bleu Atlanta after a short career in the U.S. Air Force.

Chef Eric has created fare in various kitchens from private country clubs to five-star luxury hotels. His passion for creative freedom led him to create The Black Plate Private Dining Experience, which will undoubtedly solidify his place in the world of Culinary Arts and propel him further toward his goal of global notability and respect.

ABOUT THE UNDERGROUND KITCHEN & COMMUNITY FIRST
Since its founding in 2013, Underground Kitchen has established itself as one of the most lauded dining experiences in Richmond and across the Mid-Atlantic, known for pushing culinary and event-driven boundaries. Community First was founded by the leaders of UGK when the pandemic hit, as a way to use their skills and resources to help feed those that needed it. To date, Community First has delivered more than 130,000 meals.

OTHER DETAILS
The deadline to buy a ticket is Friday, Nov. 5. The food for this class can be picked up in the days leading up to the event at one of the three CADD office locations. We will be in touch with ticket buyers with pickup details as the date gets closer.

The CADD Foundation is teaming up with The Underground Kitchen | Community First in Richmond, VA this year to help in the fight against hunger. Proceeds from this event will be donated to The Underground Kitchen | Community First, a 501(c)(3) organization. We’re excited to help UGK battle hunger in our local communities and hope you will join us.
