Scan to BIM to GIS: The Full Digital Twin Workflow - 6:30pm
Presented by Zachary Jaffe, PLS, Map I.T.

In this presentation, we will explore the end-to-end workflow of transforming LiDAR scans into actionable digital assets using CAD, BIM, and GIS. We will examine how LiDAR point clouds are processed into CAD models, integrated into Building Information Modeling (BIM) for enhanced facility management, and further leveraged in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for spatial analysis. Finally, we will showcase the role of ArcGIS Indoors in enabling smart indoor mapping and navigation, supporting diverse applications such as facility operations, workplace optimization, asset tracking, and emergency response. Through numerous real-world examples and live demonstrations, attendees will gain hands-on insights into best practices, key technologies, and innovative applications across industries. Whether you're in architecture, engineering, construction, or facility management, this session will provide valuable knowledge on bridging the gap between 3D scanning, digital design, and spatial intelligence to drive smarter decision-making and operational efficiency.
