Agenda:

5:00pm - 6:00pm Networking -Food and drink served

5:50pm - 6:00pm Introduction
Presented by Jeff Gravatte, CADD Microsystems

6:00pm - 6:15pm Navisworks Search Sets
Presented by Daryl Key, 3Designworx

Quick overview of the time efficiencies of using exporting Revit into Navisworks and running/updating clashes by search sets. Daryl will show how this can be saved in a template format for all projects. She will also explain the differences between search sets and generic sets. In this presentation, you will learn how to remove rework with template time efficiencies workflow for the process.

6:15pm - 6:45pm An Architect’s Guide to Scan to BIM
Presented by Dan Warren, McMillan Pazdan Smith and Daryl Key, 3Designworx

This presentation will discuss how McMillan Pazdan Smith utilized 3D Scanning in a design environment. We will dive deep on how the project team coordinated with 3DesignWorx to bring highly accurate 3D scan data from the field into the Revit model environment. We’ll discuss the challenges related to planning and execution of the work. Finally, we’ll review some specific high value applicationsof 3D scanning technology.

In this session, you will learn how to:

-Identify appropriate scanning applications for your project.
-Establish a scope of work to clearly communicate your project’s needs.
-Understand the importance of “Level of Accuracy”.
-Review specific healthcare and commercial project applications of Scanning technology in adesign environment.
