Presented by Laura Keyser, Clancy and Theys

A well-defined plan for executing BIM goals can play a critical role to the success of a project in today’s market, yet it is often overlooked. In a typical scenario, parties sit down together before or at the start of a project with a standard BIM Execution Plan and determine the scope of work for BIM on a project. Deliverables are noted, levels of development are established for different phases of the project, and project team members are identified. When implemented well, this document becomes a working reference for process and deliverables throughout the project, and it provides project team members with a metric by which to measure BIM goals. By broadening a BIM Execution Plan into a Project Execution Plan, duplicated planning efforts can be reduced. When the document is used as a project management tool, and not just a BIM tool, it becomes valuable to a wider audience.  Laura will share a the successes and failures so that others may learn from her experiences.
