6:00pm - 6:30pm Revit Data Dashboard
Presented by Jason Kunkel, CADD Microsystems

Do you track data inside your Revit model or should you start? This session will introduce the notion of what a data dashboard is and what you can and should track in your Revit model. You will see a relatively inexpensive way to build a dashboard that can be adapted to meet a firm's information needs.

6:30pm - 7:15pm Take control of your Revit backgrounds by using linked views
Presented by David Raynor, Dewberry

Having a common background among all trades can be difficult. Especially if you are using view templates to manage all your views. Don't get me wrong, I love and use view templates extensively. In this class we will review a workflow that utilizes a mix of applying and assigning view templates strategically to gain greater control over your backgrounds than ever before. Learning when and where to assign halftone and underlay settings to avoid doubling or tripling the half tone effect. We will look at a few pitfalls to avoid and review some techniques for updating backgrounds without getting surprise setting changes that must then be repeated for every view template. Even with Dynamo that gets annoying. Finally, we will learn how to manipulate the project browser to apply background settings to all views at once, even if they have view templates assigned. We might even get into some tools for editing multiple view templates at once.
